No school on Monday, January 16th in observance of Dr. Martin Luther KIng Jr. I’m really happy that my daughter is in Ms. Ganguly’s class and she is doing well with her friends at ISF. The Elementary School, consisting of approximately 450 students in Grades 2–5, sits adjacent to the Upper School. I am honored to be the principal of McDonald Elementary School.
ThePrimary School is a purpose-built facility for young children with outdoor play areas, a library, gymnasium, and cafeteria – all surrounded by lush forests and hiking trails. Serving more than 240 students from age 3 through Grade 1, the early years program at FIS helps lay the foundation for a successful educational journey – and a love for lifelong learning. We offer a full-day academic program for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 with optional after-school care for students in Kindergarten to Grade 4.
We serve students in first through fifth grade and house the district’s Dual Language program for those grades. When you step onto our campus, you’ll find a building bustling with life and joy, filled with teachers and students that are engaged in the learning process and embracing the journey toward biliteracy. At McDonald Elementary, we believe that everyone deserve the chance to be loved, and that principle is at the core of all of our interactions. We know that every student can thrive in a loving, educationally stimulating environment, and we haven’t been proven wrong yet.
Located at the base of the Taunus mountains, the main campus in Oberursel is a place where any parent would want their children to grow and learn. Our expansive campus, which resembles a small university, features state-of-the-art facilities and is surrounded by forest. ISF is highly preferred and loved by my 2 sons. The wonderful McDonald Elementary staff and I, feel privileged to be a part of this school family. We thank you for your support and look forward to an Outstanding and Productive school year. The Primary School is located at the top end of the campus and is separated from the Elementary School and Upper School by two full-size athletic fields and a nature sanctuary.

Teachers, staff and students all report to school on January 9th for a full day of learning. Every teacher and staff member over the past two years has been incredible.
